SilverStripe 6.0.0 - Released 10 June 2025

The latest release of SilverStripe CMS 6.0.0 has gone stable, and it’s setting the stage for the next two years of development. This is a major release and is likely to have what they call "breaking changes". The focus for this release was not new features - though some new functionality has been unlocked as a result of the changes they have made.

WebShed Plugin 4.0.0 - Released 26 August 2025

With the release of SilverStripe 6.0.0, we’ve updated our CMS plugin at WebShed to bring you the latest features, performance improvements, and fresh functionality, with full testing in place.

With SilverStripe 6.0.0 being a major release the main focus of the WebShed Plugin update was to update code to make sure that everything continued to function correctly and fix all issues identified. This means there has not been as many feature additions in this update. Below we have highlighted the main features:

• Integrate with SilverStripe 6.0.0
• Bug fixes and patching 
• News Element: admin area now has a new column to show what news elements the articles are displayed on. 
• Promo Element: Add unique ID to each promo allowing for individual styling if required.
• List Element now has the ability to display a list in 2 or 3 columns by just changing a setting.
• Map Element: Added an option for google directions link for a map point so that customers can be taken to google to get directions for that location straight away. Works across all mapping systems.
