What's coming in the latest WebShed plugin release

What’s coming in our latest WebShed Plugin - Planned to be released in November 2026

With the planned release of SilverStripe 6.3.0, we’ve been updating our CMS plugin at WebShed to bring you the latest features, performance improvements, and fresh functionality, with full testing in place. Check out some of the key new features coming.

• Bug fixes and patching
• Duplicate Elements: Save time by just duplicating an element. This means you can now duplicate an element you like the look of, then just update the details. 
• Image Transformations: The promo element and the news element now have the ability to transform the images displayed to either, fill, pad or fit. These allow you to display the images you upload in the specific way you want.
• Promo Element: You now have the option for the image to have a vertical scroll. This allows the user to scroll long images for the promo. Great for portfolios etc.
• Map Element: You can now easily change your map to greyscale and also turn off points of interest. The two separate co-ordinates fields have been joined to one to make it easier when copying them from google maps. A new map option has been added with OpenFreeMaps. These maps are less cluttered so great when you want a clean map to use.
• Accordion Element: If you create an accordion that is an FAQ's list you can now just change a setting and when the page loads it will create the FAQ Schema for you. Helping with search and AI.
• Statistics Element: You can now turn on and off the counting functionality for numbers.
• News Element: When selecting the news page to load the article under you used to have a list of all pages. This has been updated to now only show actual news pages making it simpler. All news articles now create the NewsArticle Schema when the news article is loaded, helping with search and AI.
• Documents: You can now assign documents to news articles straight from the document. There is also a new tab interface for where you do this and tags etc.
• Schemas: We now have the ability to add a schema easily to the whole site and to each individual page if required. We can also add llms.txt files to the site. Helping with search and AI.
• Share links: The on page share links have been updated and we have added some new ones.
